As fraudsters and bad actors evolve their strategies, we are always working to stay one step ahead of them to safeguard our members. While we have not experienced any influx of fraudulent activity, we have partnered with SecureNow to provide a service that greatly reduces the risk of cyber threats for our online banking users. The service is designed to detect and prevent fraudulent login attempts to online banking.

What does this mean?
On June 26, 2025, all Online Banking users will be prompted to select new challenge questions and answers, as well as set up phone numbers that will be able to receive one-time passcodes for each login you make moving forward. You will need to make sure the phone numbers currently listed in your account are correct to receive these passcodes. This will ensure that your future logins are validated in two separate ways, which includes the online banking password credentials, and then using your phone to validate that it is you logging in. If we see that an unusual device is being used, or if someone is logging in from an unusual location, we will prompt you to answer the security questions before logging in.

Why is this service being implemented?
The protection of your personal information is very important to us. This new security measure is being put in place specifically to protect your accounts. We know it can be frustrating to include extra steps to log in to your account, but it is becoming increasingly necessary for all financial institutions to implement these security measures. This service is specifically designed to verify your identify, assure it’s you logging in to the account and it's not someone trying to scam you.

We know our members work hard for all the right reasons, and we always do our best to make sure you have peace of mind to know that your accounts are safe and secure with us. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
